We are not here to judge, and we understand that it can be a very upsetting time, people have many reasons for giving up their birds, the bird may have been in the family for years and you cannot find the time to look after the bird due to a change in circumstances or an allergy may exist, whatever the reason you can be reassured that we have your birds best interest at heart When they come into us, if we think it is necessary will have a complete check up by an avian vet, we then look through our extensive waiting list and pick who we think will be a good foster person / family for the bird, we will then contact that person and request a home visit and a reference from a vet, they have to complete a contract with us to insure that the birds wellbeing is secured, we will if you wish keep you up to date with the birds progress via email, so you never have to lose touch with your bird If you are unsure about giving up your bird and want a chat please call us on 0844 6600 615 we will be glad to help you in any way we can
